NazGO

One of our goals here at the NSC is to be an incarnational ministry. That is, we do not just put on a program or two and hope students show up. Our hope is that we can live in the midst of the chaos of college and show students what it means to love Jesus and live as a follower of His even, and maybe especially, when life gets difficult. To help be in the midst of our students lives we have created a new ministry called NazGo.

NazGo was spawned over a breakfast meeting while observing students walking around Norman playing the popular Pokemon Go game. We got a kick out of watching students interact with other groups who would never have crossed paths but for this silly game. That interaction sparked the idea of NazGo. We have identified 3 times per semester (first week of class, halloween, finals week, first week of spring semester, spring break, and finals week) where the NSC staff creates some form of gift or treat and meets students on campus.

The idea of going into dorms, classroom halls, cafeterias, and the south oval is to remind each student that while we may not have a physical location we are still on their campus. The results of this simple ministry have been outstanding. You can keep up with our Nazgo and other ministry activities on Facebook at Facebook.com/Theounsc and Instagram @Theounsc

NazGO founds our newbies and some oldies too:)
