Mission Statement
We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ exists to influence,
win, and train, as many people as possible for His redemptive purposes.
We accept that the Great Commission has personal implications for
every Christian disciple.
We believe that the Nazarene Student Center exists as a ministry
of the Church of the Nazarene to the University of Oklahoma. To
help the church fulfill her mission, our basic objectives shall
be:
- To be an EVANGELISTIC FORCE...to
touch the University of Oklahoma population with the Good
News of Jesus Christ and to invite them to respond to
His love and experience the joy of eternal life.
- To be a CARING FELLOWSHIP...where
there is a ministry to the whole person—helping each person
find wholeness in an accepting, affirming, loving fellowship.
- To be an EQUIPPING, TRAINING CENTER...where
university students discover their gifts for ministry and are
trained and equipped to minister in the campus setting.
- To be a DEPLOYMENT CENTER...from
which the students go into their world—living out the life
of Christ as persons forgiven and forgiving—loved and loving—cared
for and caring, and to be effective ministers through their local
churches.
